Irish dance classes are offered for
children from age four through adults at
all levels.
The classes provide
instruction in both traditional Irish
step dancing and the more contemporary
style of Irish dancing made famous by
shows such as Riverdance.
-
Wee Feet is for the youngest, most
beginning level dancers, teaching basic
reels and jigs.
-
Celtic Kids provides intermediate level
training and includes some team and
ceili dances.
-
Beginning Irish dancing for adults
will include reels, jigs and ceili
dances at a moderate pace. No
previous dance experience is
required. This class is strictly
for
fun! This class will move more
slowly and be less demanding than
our
regular program and will require
some stretching for warm up and very
easy basic Irish steps. It will be
taught by an assistant teacher under
the supervision
of Lisa Eisemann.
Adults should be in good
health and without any physical
problems.
-
Intermediate Ceili class is for strong
dancers and stresses higher level reels,
jigs, slip jigs and many ceili and team
dances. This class is taught at a very
fast pace.
-
Advanced Irish is for only the highest
level dancers at the studio, including
the
elite team of the Spirit of Salinas
Irish Dancers who made their first trip
to the
world level competition in
Ireland in 2005.
